Every year, St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, and like clockwork, I pull out the same outfit. It’s festive, it’s comfortable, but this year, I wanted something new. Instead of buying something trendy, I went for a more sustainable (and fun!) route—I hit the thrift store.
There’s something about thrifting that feels like a treasure hunt. You never know what you’ll find, and when you finally spot the perfect piece, it’s magic.
This year, I had one goal: refresh my St. Paddy’s Day look without breaking the bank.
I’ve been trying to shop less in 2025, focusing on mindful consumption, but I made an exception for thrifting because it’s sustainable, affordable, and unique. If you're looking for the best thrift stores in Baltimore to score festive finds, I highly recommend checking out Value Village in Brooklyn Park/Glen Burnie. It never disappoints.
St. Patrick’s Day in Baltimore is unbeatable. The weather is perfect, the energy is contagious, and spending time with friends makes it even better.
But my favorite part? The head flair.

Whether it’s a bold hat, a quirky headband, or something sparkly, I love a statement piece. Last year, I even got crafty and made a DIY St. Patrick’s Day hat, which was such a fun and personal way to celebrate.
I just uploaded my thrift store haul, and let me tell you, I found some gems. Mixing secondhand finds with pieces I already own gave me the fresh update I was looking for while keeping my outfit unique and sustainable.
If you're planning your St. Patrick’s Day outfit, don’t sleep on thrift shopping, it’s the best way to find something one-of-a-kind!
How do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Do you stick to a go-to outfit or mix it up each year?
